MomentumScore is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an Investment Adviser or a Research Analyst.
It does not give investment advice, research reports, recommendations, tips or calls on any security.
1. What MomentumScore is
MomentumScore is a software tool for research and education. It lets you write your own rules (a score formula, a universe, how many holdings, when to rebalance) and shows how those rules would have behaved on past market data.
Every rank, list and backtest is the mechanical output of rules that you choose or change. It is not an opinion on whether any security is a good or bad investment for you.
2. What it is not
- Not investment advice, and not a research report or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any stock, ETF or other security.
- Not personalised. MomentumScore does not know your finances, goals or risk profile, and nothing on it is suitable for you in particular.
- Not a broker, and not an algorithmic trading service. MomentumScore does not place, route or execute orders, and does not connect to your trading account. Every trading decision, and every order you place with your broker, is yours alone.
- Not a portfolio management or fund service. We never hold or handle your money or securities.
3. Strategy templates
Strategy templates are sample rule sets, published with their full formula and settings, to show how momentum rules work. They are examples to study, copy and change. They are not model portfolios, and publishing them is not a recommendation to follow them.
Security names that appear in a template's backtest or rank list are the result of its rules, not a selection by us.
4. Backtests are hypothetical
- Backtested results are simulated on historical data with the benefit of hindsight. They do not represent real trading, and past performance, real or simulated, does not guarantee future returns.
- Real results will differ because of costs, taxes, slippage, liquidity, price gaps, corporate actions, data errors and timing. The cost and slippage assumptions are estimates only.
- A rule that worked in the past can stop working. Drawdowns larger than any shown can happen, and you can lose part or all of the money you invest.
- Index membership, adjustments and prices come from public exchange data and may contain errors or gaps. We make no warranty that the data or calculations are complete, accurate or timely.
5. Your responsibility
Investing in securities is subject to market risk. Read all related documents carefully before investing. Make your own decisions, and if you need advice,
consult a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst. You can check whether an intermediary is registered on sebi.gov.in.
6. Limitation of liability
MomentumScore, its owners and staff are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from the use of the service, its data or its output. The service is provided "as is".
